Warm Hands and Full Hearts at My Plumber Heating and Cooling

January 22, 2010 – As part of their Warm Hands and Full Hearts Initiative My Plumber Heating and Cooling has been collecting food for those with need, in the communities they serve. Since November 1, 2009 more than 3,600 pounds of food have been delivered to public service organizations that feed the hungry.

Yesterday 600 pounds of food was delivered to Arlington Food Assistance Center on Nelson Street in Arlington. AFAC currently feeds more than 1200 families each week, with more than half of those served being children. Many of their clients are very low income elderly people who have to make a choice between paying for food or for medicine.

The company’s owners and employees are all very glad to be able to give back to the communities where they live and work. So much so, that they want to share that experience with other organizations. To that end they have created the Warm Hands and Full Hearts Web Site and www.warmhandsandfullhearts.com

If you belong to an organization that would like to raise food for those less fortunate, but are unsure where to begin, the timeline and materials available free, on the web site.  They will help you get started and remain organized through your own food drive.
